The Cellar at Duckworth's: Your Destination for Craft Cocktails and Gourmet Dining

My wife and I went here celebrating ( belatedly) my birthday and Valentines day. Service was top notch! Food was fantastic and I had a smoked whiskey sour that was great! Wonderful speak easy atmosphere. It was loud due to the small space but otherwise we had a wonderful time! We will be back next time we are in town. Definitely make a reservation. Place was hopping!

The photos don’t do the atmosphere justice. Low lighting with candles at the tables combined with vintage music for a prohibition feel. Our waiter Jovani was excellent, both helpful and attentive. The ribeye was delicious are we’re kinda picky about steak. Short ribs over grits and truffle tries also deserve a mention. Highly recommend for a date night or evening with friends.

Phenomenal service and food! The truffle fries were mind blowing and the short ribs melted in our mouths. Also highly recommend the cheesecake for dessert— it’s on the softer side but absolutely incredible. The atmosphere was a bit dark and louder than expected, but the experience was still fantastic.

I took my girlfriend to the Cellar at Duckworth's for her birthday. This was our first time here, and we were very impressed. Our server, Stephanie was fantastic, and made our dinning experience remarkable. We had a filet mignon and NY strip that was so delicious with a side of brussels. We loved this restaurant and look forward to coming back.

The Cellar at Duckworth's kept coming up with great reviews—and they were absolutely right. Everything about this experience was perfect. The food was incredible, the drinks were delicious, and the atmosphere had the best speakeasy vibes. Our server (who looked like Sergeant James Doakes from Dexter ) was amazing—super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable, taking the time to explain everything we had questions about. This was the perfect spot for a New Year’s Eve dinner, and we would absolutely come back. Highly recommend!

10/10 experience for the delicious food, drinks ( the cellar mai tai), ambience, and amazing service! We ordered the oysters, short rib dumplings, two cuts of steaks, truffle fries, and the Nutella cheesecake (come very hungry), which were all phenomenal! We will definitely be coming back again!

We had an awesome night. Our server set the whole vibe with how friendly and easygoing he was, shared some great stories, and he helped us pick a bottle of wine we ended up loving. We started with the flatbread, which was amazing, then shared a burger that was cooked perfectly. The truffle fries were incredible as well.We wrapped it up with the red velvet cake, and yes, it was every bit as good as it sounds. Great atmosphere, great service, great food; the whole night just worked. We’ll definitely be back.

I visited The Cellar at Duckworth’s on a Thursday night with a friend for a special farewell dinner before she left Charlotte for the new year. Although we had a bit of a wait due to a slow kitchen, the manager made sure we were comfortable by bringing our drinks promptly. After about 15-20 minutes, our server arrived and took our order. We enjoyed delicious dishes including mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, and risotto, all of which were fantastic. For the main course, we both had the short ribs with cheddar grits and a vegetable medley that included roasted asparagus. Every bite was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious! For dessert, we tried the berry wontons, and they were equally amazing, adding a perfect sweet ending to the meal. The ambiance was also lovely, with warm amber lighting, candles on the tables, and a cozy, rustic feel with exposed brick and ceilings. Overall, the meal was amazing, and despite the slight delay in service, everything else was top-notch.
